... maybe a day just like today.
Do either of these phrases strike a chord with you? Make you think of sunshine and a warm breeze along the shores of Penetang Bay? Or perhaps one of these photographs jogs a few memories.
If the good memories have begun, then mark your calendar! To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the opening of the Naval and Military Establishments, you're invited to an HNME reunion! The big event is -- of course! -- a boat cruise on the Georgian Queen the evening of July 27th.

We hope to see lots of older but familiar faces on July 27th. (Burke Penny)
Hi everyone. Like Burke, I am looking forward to July 27th and seeing some familiar faces ( I won't say "older"!!) on the shores of Georgian Bay. Watch this blog for the latest info and ...soon to come, our Facebook page! Kate (Shaw) Gunn, Edmonton
I think this sounds like a blast! Will try to schedule the weekend off to attend.
David Moore
Dave Moore, I hope to see you there, this is your old friend and room mate for two years, Dave Devereux! BTW, the picture on the Sun was Peter Mount climbing the riggin of the Pride of Baltimore, we all went down in summer of 81 and did a mock battle. The other pic on that page was a man with high drinking capacity, a soldier for one summer. Probably no connection!
I am useless on social media, but I see there is this useful anonymous function. For those who want to get in touch, my e-mail is devereud@canisius.edu. I plan to be there on July 27!!

I was a member of the first team of guides to work at the site. I liked it so much, in my retirement, I chose to live across the bay. Now I can see HNME every day.
Okay, it's time I weighed in. Looking forward to seeing as many of the old staff as possible as I will be making the long drive down from Kenora. Seeing the old pictures sure brings back a lot of memories. I don't Facebook, but my email is gabrams60@gmail.com if that name rings a bell for anyone.
Great time had by all> I think I saw Richard Pye in my dreams last night. Puppy chow
